The company was founded in 1986, with the objective of manufacturing a quality line of fine deli products that would elevate Montreal to a higher level of smoked meat processing supremacy. Delstar operates from a self-contained plant and has an affiliated company called Starmax Foods. Both plants are HACCP /Agriculture Canada/U.S.D.A. approved enabling the company to offer products worldwide.

In less than 20 years Delstar has managed to become the largest deli-style smoked-meat manufacturer in Canada. Our specialty products are found under the Delstar brand as well as private labels belonging to the major food chain stores, distributors and restaurants across the country.

The company prides itself on using only top quality raw materials, and operates it’s two facilities under the most extreme quality-control standards in the industry.

Delstar manufactures all the beef muscle products as well as processed sausages such as pepperoni and salami (all 100% beef). Recently, the Starmax plant has been modified and upgraded into the latest counter-ready slicing operation. Since this conversion was made, our sliced products can be purchased in various sized counter ready packages for the retail trade.
